According to MDLottery, two $100,000-winning tickets were recently sold at businesses just a few feet away from one another in Montgomery Village.  The tickets were purchased at Giant located at 20044 Goshen Road and Goshen Plaza Beer & Wine at 9140 Rothbury Drive.

Per the news release: The $1.326 Powerball jackpot was hit in Oregon last Saturday, but the game is still producing big winners in Maryland. Two $100,000-winning tickets were sold in Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village; and a $50,000-winning Powerball ticket was sold in Baltimore in the Wednesday, April 10 drawing.

Both $100,000-winning tickets were sold in Montgomery County. Players purchased the third-tier winning tickets at Giant #196 located at 20044 Goshen Road in Gaithersburg and Goshen Plaza Beer & Wine at 9140 Rothbury Drive in Montgomery Village. The $50,000-winning ticket was sold by Royal Farms #063 at 4820 O’Donnell Street in Baltimore.

The lucky numbers to match were 6, 7, 12, 24 and 36; the Powerball was 15. The Power Play multiplier was x2 and that’s how our Montgomery County winners doubled their third-tier prizes to $100,000.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins). Click HERE to schedule an appointment.

Since there was a jackpot winner last weekend, our Powerball Jackpot Reset promotion is in progress. Maryland players purchasing a Powerball ticket now through April 21 could win a free $2 Mega Millions ticket awarded at random. The free ticket will print immediately after the Powerball ticket prints.
