
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) provided mutual aid to the Prince George’s County Fire Department (PGFD) on Monday, April 15, for the report of a carbon monoxide leak in Beltsville, MD.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, crews responded to the Hillhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 3210 Powder Mill Rd. in Adelphi at approximately 9:33am. Eighteen residents and ten staff members were evaluated. Two residents were transported to a local hospital for evaluation with non-life-threatening symptoms. Hazmat teams are currently inspecting the facility for the cause.
