Victim and Deputies Identified in Fatal Rockville Pike Collision

The Maryland Attorney General’s office has released additional information regarding a fatal collision that followed an attempted traffic stop on Rockville Pike on Saturday, April 27.

Per the news release: “The Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General has identified the decedent and involved deputies in the fatal crash following an attempted traffic stop that occurred on April 27, 2024, in Rockville in Montgomery County, Maryland.

The decedent has been identified as 25-year-old Jasmin Gimon of Adelphi, Maryland. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies have been identified as Deputy Connor Clifford, a 6-year veteran; and Deputy Paul Nelson, a 2-year veteran. Both deputies are assigned to the domestic violence division.

The IID, with the assistance of the Maryland State Police Crash Team, continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision.”
