Update: The collision has not been confirmed as fatal.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision with entrapment in Gaithersburg at approximately 2:15am on Saturday.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the incident involved two vehicles and occurred at the intersection of Goshen Rd and Rock Elm Way. Two rescue squads and an extrication truck were utilized. EMS transported trauma patients.
Montgomery County Police tweeted the following at 3:37am: “Goshen Road is closed between Centerway Road and Framingham Drive due to a traffic collision. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect significant delays.”
