Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the Triangle Towers apartment complex at 4853 Cordell Ave. in Bethesda for a report of smoke on the sixth floor.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire was contained to a storage room and “likely involved lithium-type batteries.” Some residents were evacuated and sheltered in place. EMS transported one adult resident who was injured in a fall during the evacuation.
