Update: Ava Smith has been located safe and unharmed.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Ava Smith, a missing 16-year-old from Gaithersburg.
Smith was last seen on Monday, August 12, 2024, at approximately 7 a.m., near the 9800 block of Washingtonian Blvd in Gaithersburg. She is 5-feet, 3-inch tall, 165 lbs., with short black hair, brown eyes, glasses, and was last seen wearing all black clothing.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ava Smith is asked to call Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency (301) 279-8000 (24-hour line).
