By now, you know Well-Paid Maids is a cleaning company that pays cleaners fair, living wages of at least $24 an hour. After all, it’s in the name!
But what you might not know is that employees also get benefits, including paid time off for the Fourth of July. It’s one of 24 paid days off that cleaners get each year.
Back in January, Well-Paid Maids declared 2024 the Year of the Customer.
So far, we’ve implemented a better online booking system, discounts for recurring customers and weekend cleans.

Well-Paid Maids isn’t your run-of-the-mill cleaning company. It’s the only certified living-wage cleaning company in the D.C. area. That means cleaners, who are classified as W-2 employees, earn a starting wage of $24 an hour and get benefits, like insurance and 24 paid days off a year.
June 16 is International Domestic Workers Day, and Well-Paid Maids is celebrating!
International Domestic Workers Day honors house cleaners, nannies and care workers. It marks the anniversary of the 2011 passage of the International Labour Organization Convention that established international labor laws for domestic workers.
Aaron Seyedian launched the home cleaning company Well-Paid Maids in June 2017 and, that August, began offering cleaning services around the D.C. area with his staff of three — including himself.
At the time, he paid cleaners a living wage of $16 an hour, plus benefits.

Karen joined the Well-Paid Maids team as a cleaner in January 2021, and she was recently promoted to an operations manager! This well-deserved promotion is part of Well-Paid Maids’ effort to deliver better customer service with responses to phone calls and emails seven days a week.

Oak Chapel is excited that Priority Partners Managed Care Organization (PPMCO) in partnership with Johns Hopkins HealthCare (JHHC) have selected the Oak Chapel Hub as the location for the first mini-food pantry/mini library in Montgomery County. Please join us for the cupboard unveiling on Saturday, May 18th, at 10 AM (rain or shine). This is scheduled to be an outdoor event. If there is inclement weather, the event will be held in the multi-purpose room of the main church building (Hub distribution location). The cupboard will be fully stocked and ready for the community to take what they need and leave what they can. It is a privilege to be able to continue to serve the 20906 community.
