My name is Levi Merenstein, and I’m a Georgetown University sophomore and a Whitman graduate of 2024. I run Georgetown Tutors, an online tutoring service staffed by Georgetown students.

Are you exhausted from constantly thinking about food and your body? Maybe you spend the day planning what, when, or how much you’ll eat, feel anxious if plans change, or notice guilt or shame after eating. You might seem “fine” on the outside while privately feeling exhausted, preoccupied, or ‘out of control’ around food.

Some teens and adults in Montgomery County live with rigid food rules, constant body checking, cycles of restriction and/or bingeing, or an ongoing fear of weight gain all while continuing to go to school, work, parent, and show up for others. Over time, this can lead to anxiety, low mood, isolation, and a shrinking sense of freedom.

Ness Basketball is excited to announce their summer camp lineup for 2026! This year they are offering 9 full weeks of camp (Monday-Friday) from 9 AM to 2:45 PM at the Jewish Day School in Rockville.

Ness Basketball offers top tier instruction in a fun environment where players can learn the game, while also making new friends!

THE SECRET TRIO is made up of three astounding musicians, Ara Dinkjian (oud, a fretless lute), Ismail Lumanovski (clarinet) and Tamer Pınarbaşı (kanun, a 76-string zither), who came together to create a new type of chamber music, combining the elements of sound, texture and rhythm with new and interesting approaches to their instruments. They perform original pieces and traditional melodies that fuse the microtonal modes and improvisation of the Middle East, dance beats of the Balkans, and elements of jazz, rock, classical and world music. The delicate harmonies, rapid-fire synchrony and intricate counterpoint developed by a trio of musicians with separate roots in Armenian, Turkish, and Macedonian Roma music are extraordinary. By inventing new ways to play percussively on fundamentally melodic instruments, the ensemble, full of rhythm and drive, harmony and counterpoint, never sounds like only three instruments.
