A Silver Spring Woman usually tries to stay low-key at her job, but she said she got a little too excited when she realized she had a $50,000 scratch-off in her possession. The big win was on the Lucky Times 10 game.
“I started to scream and had to shut my door. My co-workers asked me if I was okay,” she said laughing. “I still can’t believe it.”

After the Montgomery County resident was able to calm down, she said she called her daughter and husband to share her good news. According to the winner, she is a regular scratch-off player and credits her win to a lucky penny that she uses on all of her scratch-offs. The 48-year-old is a big fan of the Lucky Times 10 ticket. She explained that she has had some luck with this scratch-off as she won $100, $500 and now $50,000.
“This is my lucky game,” she noted.

She and her husband recently purchased a condo and the couple are planning to use the money to renovate their new property. The winning scratch-off was sold at Giant #319 at 625 Hungerford Drive in Rockville. For selling the ticket, the store will receive a $500 bonus. The $10 Lucky Times 10 game launched in November 2022. The game started with eight top prizes and there are still three $100,000 prizes remaining. The Silver Spring resident is the seventh $50,000 winner and two second-tier prizes remain unclaimed. There are many additional prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000.
