Arne Sorenson, CEO of Marriott, Passes Away
Montgomery County resident and CEO of Marriott International, Arne Sorenson, has passed away due to pancreatic cancer.
Sorenson was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in 2019 and had recently taken time off from his duties at Marriot to focus on treatment.
Friends and Marriott employees took to social media shortly after the news broke.

Sad to report that Arne Sorenson, CEO of Marriott, has passed away. He had been battling pancreatic cancer since May 2019. He created the modern day Marriott and acquired Starwood hotels. He also happened to be a very good guy.
