The City of Rockville has announced that is preparing to release a draft of the Town Center Master Plan.

Per the City of Rockville: Hundreds of Rockville residents took part in one of the many listening sessions, focus groups or public meetings, and feedback is still being accepted. The draft plan will be posted to www.engagerockville.com/towncenter this month for public review and comment.

The page will also have a form for comments submission. Subscribe to the project page on Engage Rockville for the latest updates and to stay in the know. Before the master plan is adopted, it will go through a public process before the Planning Commission this spring and Mayor and Council this summer, with specific dates to be determined soon.

A master plan is a long-range document that establishes a vision for future growth and development. The goal of the master plan is to create a cohesive vision for Rockville Town Center that meets the city’s goals regarding climate action, bicycle and pedestrian safety, racial equity and social justice, and more.

Rockville Town Center comprises about 200 acres of the city, generally bounded by properties along Fleet Street to the south, South and North Washington streets along the west, and the railroad tracks to the east.
