Wheaton Mall Adding New “Streetery”

Wheaton Mall Adding New “Streetery”

Westfield Wheaton tells us that they’ve been working with the Urban District to create an outdoor seating area called the “Wheaton Streetery” to not only support the food tenants at the mall, but also to serve as a gathering place for the neighboring communities.

The Wheaton “Streetery” will feature green turf, seating with table art provided by Wheaton Arts Parade local artists, overhead lighting and heaters. It will also showcase décor and art created from recycled materials.

Current plans are to officially open the Streetery over Memorial Day weekend and to feature live music and events throughout the summer.

In order to maximize the impact of the Streetery to the local community, It will be located on the second level of the undercover portion of the parking garage between Macy’s and the Food Court, so that it maybe enjoyed whatever the weather.

Visit www.westfield.com/wheaton for more information.
