Chief DeVaul Announces Takoma Park Police Officers and Civilians of the Year for 2021 and 2022

2021 – Private First Class Manny Gaitan
2022 – Private First Class Pandelis Hinaris

Per Takoma Park Police: Private First Class Manny Gaitan was selected Officer of the Year 2021 and Private First Class Pandelis Hinaris was selected Officer of the Year 2022 because of their dedication to duty and significant accomplishments and contributions throughout those years.

Their work and actions contributed significantly to the department’s visions and goals through their extraordinary efforts in the accomplishment of extremely difficult police work requiring skills and intelligence.  They demonstrated outstanding performance by showing initiative, perseverance and dedication to duty in highly credible police work.

Both officers are excellent assets to the Takoma Park Police Department and to the residents they serve.  Their teamwork, persistence and efforts to ensure the safety of others, are outstanding.  They are sincerely appreciated and highly deserving of recognition of being named Officers of the Year for 2021 and 2022.

2021 – Ms. Danyelle Gallop
2022 – Ms. Misha Rowe

Ms. Danyelle Gallop was selected Civilian of the Year 2021 and Ms. Misha Rowe was selected Civilian of the Year 2022.  The Civilian of the Year Award describes an employee, in part, whose work duties and actions contributed significantly to the Department’s visions and goals.

Ms. Gallop and Ms. Rowe are extremely dedicated and loyal employees, true team players who deserve to be recognized.  They are well-liked and respected by their supervisors and peers.  To be named Civilian Employee of the Year requires significant contribution to the Department’s visions and goals through outstanding performance showing initiative, perseverance and dedication to duty and the department in highly creditable work.  For their work and dedication, Ms. Gallop and Ms. Rowe are sincerely appreciated and highly deserving of recognition of being named Civilians of the Year for 2021 and 2022.

Bethesda Film Fest

The 2024 Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentary films made by filmmakers from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Screenings will be held Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6 at Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema.
