Cropdusters Baseball is Bringing Family Fun to Olney; Opening Day is This Friday, June 10

Olney, meet baseball. Baseball, meet Olney. You all are going to be great friends. Cropdusters Baseball is bringing “Summer Collegiate Baseball With An Olney Vibe.”  Expect silly, family friendly, and something for everyone that’s 2-102 years old. The MoCoShow’s very own “Mr. MoCo” Alex T will be throwing out the first pitch!

Cropdusters Baseball begins its inaugural season with games on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11, with each first pitch scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at “The Barnyard” a.k.a First Responder Field by ServPro at OBGC Park (4501 Olney Laytonsville Road Olney,MD). The park opens one hour before game time for fans to arrive and claim their seating, meals, and beverages! Tickets can be purchased on the team website, and take note: this is a cash free facility.

Cropdusters Baseball are a member of the Cal Ripken League, a summer collegiate league consisting of seven teams throughout the greater DMV area. The 2022 roster consists of 36 players from schools near and far, including Maryland and even Hawaii.

All 18 regular season home games will take place at First Responder Field by ServPro at OBGC Park. Lawn seating will be picnic-style and first come first served bales of hay! Fans are welcome to bring their own chairs, tents, and blankets (but no outside food or beverage).

The team’s anchor food vendor is Grubbin Hard Barbecue (with many additional vendors joining throughout the season) and Lone Oak Brewery will be serving 2 beers and a seltzer at all home games.

Game day will feature a PA announcer, live streaming services, 3rd inning stretch activities for the crowd, anthem singers, local celebrity first pitches, and other fun surprises for you, your friends, and family to enjoy.
