A suspect is in custody after an employee at the CVS located at 7809 Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda was stabbed in the shoulder during an attempted robbery on Thursday evening. According to MCPD, “On Thursday, January 12, 2023, at approximately 3:51 p.m., MCP officers responded to the CVS store in the 7800 block of Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda.
The preliminarily investigation has determined that the suspect entered the store, grabbed merchandise, and left the store without paying for the items. When confronted by an employee outside of the store, the suspect stabbed the employee with a knife and left the scene.
Moments later, the police responded to the scene and apprehended the suspect who was then transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with armed robbery and first-degree assault related charges.
