DC Luxury Nail Salon & Beauty Parlor, nailsaloon, Announces First MoCo Location

Washington, D.C.’s luxury nail and beauty parlor, nailsaloon, has announced its next location, a 2,128 SF space, at The Collection–a block-long outdoor shopping center that is home to “accessible luxury, featuring an array of high-end retailers, popular shops, and restaurants” in Chevy Chase.

Per the press release: The third location by DC-based Latina salontrepreneur, Andréa Vieira, is set to open its doors by early Fall 2023. nailsaloon is best known for providing superior, non-toxic nail care in a hyper-clean environment. All three locations are premier places of pampering, where patrons are welcome to unwind and re-energize while making new friends and connecting with old ones over nail treatments such as manicures, pedicures, and nail art, as well as facial and body waxing. Conversations are encouraged and a complimentary beverage is offered to each guest to wet their whistles as they enjoy an optional specialty tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice, soda, beer or glass of wine during their service.

The latest addition to the nailsaloon family boasts a sleek, modern design in an inviting 2128 square foot space with comfortable seating and top of the line equipment. The intimate space is treated like a jewel box, with precious moments for guests to discover and rediscover as they return for treatments. Hospitality offerings are front and center as the space appears more like a lounge with vintage residential touches than a traditional salon. Twelve manicure and twelve pedicure stations are unassigned to any specific team members. They are uniquely assigned to clients upon bookings to accommodate groups who wish to sit and socialize together while they receive their treatments. True to the brand’s original ethos, every station comes equipped with high-tech source ventilation, ensuring that the air is completely scent-free, without a trace of acetone or nail polish. “Our design anchors came from a desire to integrate a true hospitality experience alongside nail salon services,” says David Pilkenton, the salon’s new architectural and interior designer and founder of Restaurant Design Company. “People want and need a space outside of their homes to reset, relax, and escape to be with themselves,” he added.

A loyal advocate of female entrepreneurship, founder Andréa Vieira elevates her customers’ nail game by sourcing colors from women-owned gel and non-gel polish lines, including DMV favorite Mischo Beauty. Mischo Beauty by Kitiya Mischo King carries an award-winning line of 10-FREE, vegan, cruelty-free, richly hued and high-performance nail lacquers all made in the U.S.A.–with special nods from ALLURE, Cosmopolitan, and Oprah. Another non-toxic, vegan and environmentally/socially responsible brand, Dazzle Dry by Dr. Vivian Valenty, offers worry-free, quick drying, high gloss hard-set nails that last seven to fourteen days through a revolutionary five-minute process that dries without the use of UV lights.

nailsaloon believes in strong women, strong men, and of course strong nails; but most importantly, Andréa Vieira believes in building a strong community. In that spirit, her salons annually extend their focus to support two organizations that promote community empowerment: the DC Coalition for the Homeless and the University of Maryland’s Merrill College of Journalism–paying homage to Andréa’s alma mater from where she embarked on an early career in journalism. nailsaloon’s highly experienced team of beauty and hospitality professionals are committed to providing the most superior, relaxing, and enjoyable salon experience to their clientele in the name of a greater cause–to give back to the community at large.

“We are delighted to bring the nailsaloon experience to the Chevy Chase community,” says Andréa. “We are dedicated to driving impact through beauty services and we can’t wait to showcase our skills and mission to an extended community with the imminent opening of our newest location. It’s so exciting for us to launch our third parlor here at The Collection–and for me, a special treat as it’s just up the street from Stone Ridge, where I graduated high school, a time when I was getting into manicures myself.”

Located at 5449 Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD 20815, the new nailsaloon sits at the intersection of luxury and accessibility, and will be reachable by the metro and offer ample parking opportunities. Two-hour parking will be validated by the establishment for all clients. nailsaloon bookings can be made through their website or by calling the salon directly. For more information please visit www.thenailsaloon.com or follow nailsaloon on Instagram or Facebook @thenailsaloon to stay up to date on all nailsaloon news.
