DC Man Arrested for Wheaton Carjacking

Anthony Lavar Millhouse of Washington DC has been arrested and charged over a carjacking that occurred in Wheaton around 6PM on March 30th.  Millhouse was pulled over and arrested later that evening in PG County

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division have charged Anthony Lavar Millhouse, age 29, of the 100 block of 35th Street in Southeast, Washington, D.C., with the armed carjacking of a 49-year-old female that occurred yesterday afternoon in a parking lot in Wheaton.  Montgomery County detectives worked closely with investigators from the Prince George’s County Police Department in determining the carjacked vehicle’s location within Prince George’s County.   Millhouse was later arrested in Washington, D.C. with assistance from officers from the Metropolitan Police Department.

On Tuesday, March 30, at approximately 6:04 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (911) received a call for the report of an armed carjacking that just occurred.  The victim stated that she was in her car in a parking lot located on Fern Street when the suspect approached her.  The suspect displayed a handgun, threatened the victim, and demanded her vehicle.  The victim complied with the suspect’s demands.  The suspect was last seen fleeing the area driving the victim’s car.

Through investigation, detectives determined that the carjacked vehicle was in Prince George’s County.  The vehicle was stopped by officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department and the Metropolitan Police Department as it crossed from Prince George’s County into Washington, D.C.   The suspect was taken into custody by officers from the Metropolitan Police Department and identified as Millhouse.  Evidence from the armed carjacking was located inside the vehicle.

Montgomery County Police Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Millhouse charging him with one count of armed carjacking and robbery-related offenses.

Millhouse is in custody in Washington, D.C., pending extradition to Montgomery County.
