Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Major Crimes Division are investigating a home invasion robbery in Silver Spring. On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at approximately, 8 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the 2300 block of Glenallen Avenue for the report of a home invasion robbery that just occurred.
The investigation by detectives has determined that at approximately 8 p.m., the victim heard a knock at her door. When she opened the door, an unknown male armed with a handgun, forced himself into her residence and demanded money. The victim complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect then left the residence with an undisclosed amount of stolen money.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 6-feet, 3-inches tall, 220 to 230 pounds. He was wearing dark colored jeans, a faded blue zipper sweater, a dark blue baseball hat and a dark blue bandana covering the bottom of his face.
