Detectives Investigate Rockville Homicide

For Immediate Release: Sunday, December 19, 2021

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the December 19 homicide that occurred in the 13000 block of Ashby Road in Rockville.

Sunday, at approximately 3 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting that just occurred. Officers arrived on scene and located three adult victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Two of the victims appeared to be suffering from non-life-threatening apparent gunshot wounds. The third victim had an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body. All three victims were transported to area hospitals. The victim, suffering from the gunshot wound to his upper body, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The name of the victim will be released following proper notification of next of kin.

This is an active and ongoing homicide investigation.


The department urges anyone who has information about this homicide to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.

last week a man was found dead at/i Rockville Library. Do you have an update on it?
Was it a heart attack? a stroke? liver cirrhosis?
Do libraries have AED ( heart defribrallor) .
