Eighteen-Year-Old Charged With Rape in Rockville

Gaithersburg, MD – An 18-year-old male has been arrested and charged with rape after assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Rockville.

On Saturday, April 16, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Rockville City and Montgomery County 1st District officers responded to a Rockville residence for the report of a rape that just occurred. The 16-year-old victim advised that she had been assaulted by the suspect who had been riding a bicycle on the pedestrian bridge near Lakewood Elementary School.
The responding officers canvassed the area and located the suspect, Caden Isaiah Riley, of Rockville.

Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) interviewed the victim and executed a search warrant at Riley’s home. Inside, they located items of evidentiary value.

During an interview of Riley subsequent to the residential search warrant, further evidence was obtained indicating Riley as the perpetrator. As a result, Riley was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and charged with three counts of first-degree rape, and one count of first-degree assault.
