Beer Garden

Raise a cup of craft beer to toast the end of your hard work this week at Acoustics and Ales(opens in a new tab). The event at Germantown Town Center Urban Park on Friday, September 9, 5 pm to 7:30 pm, features live music, beer vendors, food trucks, and games. Free admission!

Storytime

Bring the kids for tales and more to Drag Queen Story Hour(opens in a new tab) at Brookside Gardens on Saturday, September 10, 11 am, and Nature Story Time(opens in a new tab) at Maydale Nature Classroom, on Sunday, September 11, 3:30 pm. Drag Queen Story Hour is free, but Nature Story Time requires registration.

Explore history in your backyard with a free tour of the nineteenth century Oakley Cabin(opens in a new tab) at Oakley Cabin African American Museum and Park on Saturday, September 10, 12 pm to 4 pm.

Learn about Maryland history during the Underground Railroad (UGRR) Experience Trail Guided Hike(opens in a new tab) at Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park on Saturday, September 10, 10 am, and find out about freedom seekers on the Underground Railroad, techniques they used to navigate north, as well as challenges and opportunities.

Nature

Take a leisurely stroll through Cabin John Regional Park and enjoy last show of colors of the season during Wildflower Walks(opens in a new tab) on Sunday, September 11, at 10 am. Best for ages sixteen and older. Register, please.
