First Ever “Great Gaithersburg Bake-Off” Announced

The City of Gaithersburg has announced details for it’s first ever Great Gaithersburg Bake-Off.  Recipe submissions are due by April 23rd.

The rules of the contest state, “Recipes may be either sweet or savory but must be made from scratch (no mixes or prepared doughs). The preparation for all recipes must include baking (cooking by dry heat in an oven) for some period of time to qualify for this “Bake-Off” Contest. Pizza would qualify as baked (dry heat) but a braised stew would not (wet heat). Custard pie would qualify (baked dough) but a custard parfait would not (prepared on stovetop only).”

Great Gaithersburg Bake-Off
Great bakers of the Gaithersburg region, it’s time to show us what you’ve got! Submit your best spring baking recipe (sweet or savory) to the first ever Great Gaithersburg Bake-Off for your chance to be named the best baker in the land. The winner will receive a Gaithersburg prize package and the title of Great Gaithersburg Bake-Off Champion.
