Gaithersburg Farmers Markets in Full Swing

The City of Gaithersburg offers two Farmers Markets, providing residents with locally grown produce throughout the year. The variety of fruits & vegetables changes weekly as different crops reach maturity. Per the City of Gaithersburg:

The Main Street Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s located in the Main Street Park & Pavilion just one block off of Kentlands Boulevard. You’ll find summer fruit & veggies, distilled spirits, eggs, baked sweets, and ready-made meals.

The Casey Farmers Market is open Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through November 17 at Casey Community Center. You’ll find summer fruits & veggies, spirits & baked sweets. The Casey Market also feature different food trucks each week. Once the growing season ends, the market will continue once a month over the winter, with scheduled dates of December 1, 2022, and January 19, February 16, March 16 & April 20, 2023, weather permitting.

Gaithersburg’s markets are partners in the Eat Fresh Maryland program, fully committed to increasing access to fresh, local food for Marylanders of all backgrounds & incomes through federal nutrition benefits. At Casey Farmers Market, Scenic View Orchards accepts SNAP & Tuckey’s Mountain Grown accepts eWIC. Both Scenic View Orchards & Tuckey’s Mountain Grown accept WIC/ Senior FMNP checks. Casey Farmers Market participates in the Money Market Match program. Casey Farmers Market can match federal nutrition benefits dollar for dollar up to $10 each week. The 2024 Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentary films made by filmmakers from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Screenings will be held Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6 at Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema.
