Gaithersburg Man Arrested After Allegedly Raping and Attempting To Kill a Homeless Woman
Patrick C. Parker was arrested on Monday after allegedly raping and attempting to kill a homeless woman he had offered shelter to, according to a police report. He is charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree rape and first-degree assault.
Bethesda Beat reported Tuesday night that Parker had met the woman while she was panhandling in Downtown Silver Spring and offered to let her stay at his home in Gaithersburg.
According to the report, the woman awoke during the night as Parker was attacking her.
Parker is listed on the Maryland sex offender registry as having sexually assaulted a pre-school aged child back in 2011.
