Gaithersburg High School Varsity Football Coach Tyler Bierly Steps Down From His Position

Gaithersburg Varsity Head Football Coach Tyler Bierly has stepped down from his position with the football program. He was hired by the school in April 2019. His full statement, originally posted on social media, can be seen below:

“Today I am officially stepping down as the head football coach of Gaithersburg High School. I want to thank Mr.
Dimmick for his unwavering support these past four years and taking a chance on a first time head coach. I want to thank Mr. Gant for believing in me and providing all of the tools to be successful here at GHS. I would like to thank my coaching staff, current and past, for always being great role models for our young men and for believing in our vision for this program. Without you guys, we would not have had the
success we did these last four years. I’d like to thank the players, past and present. You are what makes Gaithersburg a special place. Thank you for the hard work that you put in on the field and in the classrooms to make Gaithersburg a special place. Thank you for the hard work that you put in on the field and in the classrooms to make our program successful. You all have helped create a culture and standard
for this program that will continue to guide it long after you leave GHS. There is never a good time to step away, but it is the right time for me and my family. My support will always be there for Gaithersburg and I wish nothing but success as they continue to build. Thank you for everything.”
