The renovated playground has play structures designed for children ages 2-12. The update is part of Montgomery Parks Playground Renovation Program, which replaces up to six existing playgrounds each year. As part of the renovation, Montgomery Parks partnered with the City of Takoma Park to address stormwater runoff from 13th Street near the park. There is also stormwater management under the playground surface area. About the Park:

Hillwood Manor Neighborhood Park sits on two acres along Sligo Creek with direct access to the Sligo Creek Trail and other park amenities. Montgomery Parks took over management of Hillwood Manor Park in 1997, when Montgomery County acquired the park and surrounding land from Prince George’s County.
