Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring was the birthplace of Maryland’s first baby born in 2022z

Parents Meena and Nick welcomed Jaison, their 6lb, 2.2oz, and 19 inch long baby boy, at 12:01am.

Holy Cross Hospital shared the news via social media earlier this evening. The announcement and photos can be seen below:

“We are excited to ring in the first day of 2022 with some exciting news: Holy Cross Health’s New Year’s Baby! Join us in welcoming Jaison, a baby boy born at Holy Cross Hospital at 12:01 a.m., weighing 6 lbs., 2.2 oz., and 19 inches long. Congratulations to the proud parents, Meena and Nick, and their family! Special thanks to our clinical team for delivering baby Jaison, Dr. Manjit Risam, obstetrics and gynecology, and Shannon Garay, RN.”
