House Fire in Damascus Likely Caused by Lightning Strike
A house fire on Sweet Cherry Lane in Damascus last night has left a family of five displaced.
Chief Spoksperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Pete Piringer reports that the fire originated on the deck/roof of the home and was likely the result of a lightning strike during last night’s storm.
The family was able to escape with no injuries. One firefighter is reported to have suffered non life-threatening injuries.
