Islands Lounge is almost ready to open on Fern Street in Wheaton, in the location that was once home to Ferdinand’s.
It has been nearly two years since we mentioned this would be occurring, but a lot of progress has been made and the restaurant will be opening soon (no exact date has been provided).
According to the Islands Lounge website, this will be “the DMV’s largest Caribbean restaurant, bar & lounge.”
The menu featured appetizers such as “islands” jerk rolls, ackee & saltfish fritters, and jerk shrimp & grits. Entrees include chicken, beef, curry goat, lobster, curry conch, and a lot more.
