Kimco is seeking approval for a schematic development plan that would affect the area that’s currently home to Buca Di Beppo, Orange Theory, the post office, and more.

Per the City of Gaithersburg, Kimco is “requesting Schematic Development Plan approval for the redevelopment of an existing surface parking lot and retail strip into a six-story mixed-use building. The plan proposes 245 apartments, 12,125 square feet of commercial space and 576 parking spaces for both residential and commercial use within one building.”

No word on what would happen to the existing businesses as we await the date for a joint public hearing that will determine the future of this potential project.
