Maryland has used 23.9 percent of its current Covid vaccine doses, putting it behind 42 other states and Washington, D.C, according to Bloomberg News. As of the evening of Jan. 4, Maryland had received 274,950 doses and administered 65,718.

Washington, D.C. has used 47.9 percent of their shots (sixth in the nation), and Virginia has used 23.2 percent (47th). At the top of the list is South Dakota with 62.2 percent used, and at the bottom is Kansas with 15.3 percent used.

Governor Hogan will hold a press conference at 5 p.m. to provide an update on Maryland’s Covid vaccination distribution.

I really appreciate this report! It’s the only one I’ve seen with this data. But — the number of 274,000 doses doesn’t match the number of doses reported by the Baltimore Sun and other sites. What is the source?
