Back in October, Thompson Hospitality announced the decision to close Hen Quarter in Downtown Silver Spring (919 Ellsworth Drive) and replace it with Matchbox.
Yesterday, Bethesda Beat reported that Matchbox will be opening on Friday, 4/5.
Matchbox currently has a location in MoCo on Rockville Pike and will be opening their Bethesda location this summer.
There were previously rumors of Matchbox also replacing Ted’s Bulletin In Downtown Crown (Gaithersburg), but they never materialized before Matchbox sold off the Ted’s Bulletin brand last year.
