Mayorga Organics Staying in Rockville for Several More Years
Back in March we reported that Miami based Mayorga Organics will be moving its roastery and distribution center from Rockville to Baltimore. We are now being told that they plan to stay in Rockville “at least for more years”.
Mayorga is located along the E Gude Dr corridor which is being rebranded as the Rock East District (R.ED.).
From our March article:
Currently at 1029 E Gude Dr, the new location will be a 120,000 sq. ft. building at 901 W. Ostend St. in the Pigtown area of Baltimore. Mayorga Organics is expected to finalize the purchase of the new building by March 16th. The move is not expected to take place for another 2-3 years.
On the move to Baltimore, owner Martin Mayorga is quoted as saying “I love the concept of going to a city that I think has just been overlooked by people and ignored by investors. I would like to go in there and actually make a positive impact.”
Mayorga has had a location in Rockville since 1997.

It would be pretty sweet if they could leave a small retail/Cafe here in the county, even if their production moves to Baltimore.
Someplace like Olde Town Gaithersburg would be great.
