Montgomery County Police are asking residents in the area of 18600 Olney Mill Rd. in Olney to shelter in place as they attempt to take an adult male into custody. MCPD released the following information on Tuesday evening at 9:30pm:
“The area around the 18600 block of Olney Mill Rd. is restricted as officers work to take an adult male into custody.
There is heavy police presence and residents are asked to shelter in place and follow the direction of officers. Officers have the area contained. This is an active investigation and officers are expected to be in the area for an extended period of time.”
