MCPD Respond to Shooting at McDonald’s on Saturday Night

Montgomery County Police responded to a shooting that occurred Saturday night, August 6, at the McDonald’s located located in the Glenmont Shopping Center in the Wheaton Glenmont area. According to MCPD:
“On August 6, 2022, at approximately 11:40 p.m., MCP officers responded to the McDonald’s in the 12300 block of Georgia Ave. for the report of a shooting that just occurred. 

The preliminary on scene investigation has determined that two suspects exited a vehicle and approached the adult victims who were walking to their vehicle parked in the parking lot of the restaurant. One of the suspects displayed a knife and the other suspect brandished a firearm. When the victims entered their vehicle and drove away, the suspect fired his firearm, striking the victims’ vehicle. The victims then reported the incident to the police. The victims did not sustain any injuries.”
