Montgomery County Police have announced that they will be holding a community event on Saturday, May 14, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.
The event is in celebration of the departments 100th anniversary.
According to MCPD, this will be the largest community event the department has ever hosted and will feature food trucks, police displays, music, face painting, and more.
About MCPD’s 100th anniversary, from www.mcpd100.org:
The year 2022 will mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Montgomery County Police Department. The County has come a long way since then, and so has our Department. From a small, rural area with about 34,000 residents and without a police force, we are now a vibrant, diverse jurisdiction with 1.1 million residents who come to us from around the country and around the world with a professional police force of 1,300 officers and 500 professional staff.
This is cause for celebration, not only to look back at what we have accomplished over the last century, but to look forward to how we will meet the challenges ahead.
Partnership with the community is important in everything we do. This is the time to help our police agency celebrate the 100 years of service by participating/supporting us in this monumental occasion.
In celebration of our 100th Anniversary, MCP, is hosting Community Day on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds!
