Job description: Substitute Child Care Aide

  • Assist and supervise children at all times to maintain a safe and positive learning environment
  • Participate in enhanced protocols to reduce illness including: cleaning, face masks and modified programing
  • Communicate positively and respectfully with all staff, parents and children
  • Implement creative and age appropriate activities and follow daily routines and lesson plans 

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must be able to arrive for scheduled shifts on time 
  • Must be able to be fingerprinted and pass a background check and required medical exam

Skills or experience (Baseball coach position): Responsibilities: MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS. Be a proven leader, who leads by example both on and off the field. Be a great role model to the children. Responsive via email (within 24 hours).  Be responsible and take pride in shaping children’s lives. Must have reliable transportation and a working cell phone.

Experience: Must have a background in baseball. Experience in coaching is a plus.

Skills or experience (Basketball coach/trainer positions): 

Trainer:

Conduct lessons when scheduled

Come up with new drills and training plans as needed

Follow Koa’s 10 year basketball development plan (found on Koa’s website) during practices

Coach one or more youth teams or Prep teams (as needed)

Conduct age appropriate drills

Take care of company issued equipment

Be responsive via text message and or email from your Koa supervisor

Show up on time to all scheduled Koa events

Use appropriate language around the athletes

Upon departure, find the facility cleaner than you found it. Pick up loose basketballs, cones, and other equipment 

Assist running Koa clinics, tryouts, and other events

Must be able to coach a couple days a week, shadowing to start (flexible)

Assist running Koa Summer Basketball Camp + No School Camps (as needed) 

Coach:

Coach 3-10 hours per week (depending on the program you coach).

Teach basics and fundamentals of basketball to kids of all ages.

Be an all-star communicator.

Be responsible and take pride in shaping children’s lives.

Must have reliable transportation and a cell phone.

Experience: Must have a background in basketball. Experience in coaching is a plus.
