MoCo Requires The Least Amount Of Physical Education In The State (K-5)

by MCS Staff
A new bill would require a minimum of 90 minutes of Physical Education per week in all Maryland public elementary schools.

Currently, MCPS only offers a minimum of 30 minutes of physical education per week in elementary schools, while places up the street (like Frederick County) require 90 minutes. In D.C., 150 minutes is required, and our neighbor Howard County requires 90 minutes.

If you support this bill, please e-mail or call Delegate Anne Kaiser, who is the head of the Ways and Means committee. She will decide whether or not a vote is held on this bill and represents Montgomery County in this matter.
