MoCo Resident Ida Pearl Would Love Your Help Celebrating her 102nd Birthday

by MCS Staff

Ida Pearl (known to most as Pearl) was born and raised on Riffle Ford Road in 1918. On Thursday, June 18, she will be celebrating her 102nd birthday!⁣

She has lived the last 70 years on Quince Orchard Road, just couple miles away from her childhood home. She is a faithful and dedicated member of Fairhaven United Methodist Church and a loyal trustee of the Pleasant View Historical Association. Some know her as “The Avon Lady,” as she has been one for over 60 years!⁣

When asked what she’d like for her birthday, she said, “wave at the people as they go by.” ⁣

So in keeping with her wishes we invite you to a drive-by parade. ⁣

The parade will begin at the corner of Fellowship Lane and Fellowship Way just off of Quince Orchard Rd, near the high school.⁣

If you wish to join, it’s suggested that you begin lining up at around 5:45pm.⁣

Friends and family are working on having a police escort to help with traffic on Quince Orchard. Ms. Pearl will be out in the yard to be able to see everyone drive by.⁣

Help make it extra special for Pearl by making a sign, decorating your car, or just be in the parade to —honk, beep, and wave as you go by!⁣

Happy Birthday ❤️
