MoCo Spotlight: Jamal Leonard

by MCS Staff

When the recycling truck that Jamal Leonard was working off of broke down in front of Germantown resident Laurel Weetall’s house, she noticed the employee of the MoCo Department of Environmental Protection working even harder.

Mr. Leonard walked to each bin in the neighborhood and dragged them over to the truck. When he finished in that neighborhood he walked to the next one and did the same thing, dragging them all back to the broken down truck.
Ms. Weetall wanted the young man to get recognition for his hard work and created a post that was shared by nearly 800 people on Facebook.
“ She told me I would get recognition but didnt think much of it 😭🤧” wrote Jamal.
We agree that Mr. Jamal Leonard deserves recognition and we thank him and everyone else that is working hard during this difficult time to make sure we can continue to live without any more disruption.
THANK YOU!
