MoCoShow High School Football Preseason Top 10

1. Quince Orchard

The Cougars are coming off of an undefeated season and a State Championship.  QO brings back their entire offensive backfield and their and key starters at DE & LB.

Key games: Week 2 at Paint Branch, Week 8 vs Northwest.

2. Northwest

The Jags were 2 points away from a State championship appearence last year.  NW should boast one of the better defenses in the county.

Key games: Week 7 vs Seneca Valley, Week 8 at Quince Orchard

3. Paint Branch

The Panthers had a strong season last year before falling in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. PB, as usual, will have a strong defensive presence this year.

Key Games: Week 2 vs Quince Orchard, Week 8 vs Sherwood

4. Seneca Valley

The Screamin’ Eagles are poised to have their coming out party in 2022.  The SV offense should be explosive this season.

Key Games: Week 7 at Northwest, Week 9 at Daamascus

5. Damascus

The Swarmin’ Hornetsnlost 3 regular season games for the 1st time in over a decade. Dmass should will rely on their run game and solid LB corp this season.

Key Games: Week 1 vs Northwest, Week 9 vs Seneca Valley

6. Blair

The Blazers are coming off of an historic season. They will try to cement thier legacy this season on the strength of thier potent offense.

Key Games: Week 4 vs Paint Branch, Week 7 at Sherwood

7. Walter Johnson

The Wildcats solidified themselves as the top team in Potomac/Bethesda by winning the Congeressional Cup.

Key Games: Week 1 vs Churchill, Week 3 at Quince Orchard

8. Churchill

The Bulldogs had several extreamly close games last year.  They hope to get over the hump by leaning on thier solid offense.

Key Games: Week 1 at Walter Johnson, Week 3 st BCC

9. Sherwood

The Warriors had a great season bowing out in the state semifinals.  In order to improve they need consistent production from the offense.

Key Games: Week 7 vs Blair, Week 8 at Paint Branch

10.  Einstein

The Titans have quietly become on of the more consistant teams in the Down County Consortium. They will need lights out play from their defence in order to continue that trend.
