MoCoShow High School Football Top 10 – Week 2

1. Quince Orchard 2-0 (LW 1)

The Cougars earned their 2nd straight shutout of the season, dispatching a game but young Paint Branch squad 35-0. Iverson Howard ran for 126 yds on 12 attempts and 1 TD.  Next, QO will host undefeated Walter Johnson at home.

2. Seneca Valley 2-0 (LW 3)

The Sreamin’ Eagles outlasted longtime rival Gaithersburg 28-12. Jordan Hungerford ran for 100 yds on 14 attempts and 3 TDs. SV will travel to Richard Montgomery this Friday.

3.   Damascus 2-0 (LW 4)

The Swarmin’ Hornets blanked Magruder 49-0. QB Thomas McDarby was 7 out of 11 for 233 yds and 3 TDs. Damasus will host Kennedy next.

4. Northwest 1-1 (LW 5)

The Jaguars mollywhopped Clarksburg 49-0. QB Nick Holloway accounted for 4 TDs, three passing & one rushing.  Up next, NW travels to Gaithersburg to take on the Trojans  

5. Paint Branch 1-1 (LW 2)

The Panthers fell to Quince Orchard 0-35.  QB Travon Jackson was 8 out of 14 for 65 yds in the losing effort.  PB will host Springbrook on Friday.

6. Blair 1-1 (LW 6)

The Blazers beat Einstein 34-6.  QB Kendall Anderson was 9 out of 14 for 256 yds and 3 TDs, including a 72 yd TD pass to Aven Williams.  Blair will travel to DCC rival Northwood next.

7. Walter Johnson 2-0  (LW 7)

The Wildcats completed the 2nd leg of the Congressional Cup dispatching Whitman 39-6.  QB Charlie Blessing was 12 out of 18 passing for 135  yds and rushed 11 times for 92 yds for 4 total TDs. WJ will travel to the Cougardome to face Quince Orchard on Friday.

8. Blake 2-0 (LW 9)

The Bengals shutout Churchill 41-0 to remain undefeated.  Jerimiah Seton rushed 26 times for 254 yds and 4 TDs.  Blake will travel to rival Sherwood in a huge matchup next.

9. Sherwood 1-1 (LW 8)

The Warriors fell to Frederick Counties Urbana 3-39. QB Amari Allen was 11 out 25 for 141 yds in the losing effort.  Sherwood will host rival Blake in MoCoShow Game of the Week!

10.  Springbrook 2-0 (NR)

The Blue Devils enter the top 10! QB Tommy Dietrich threw for 125 yds and a TD in Springbrooks victory over Kennedy. Up next an enormous test traveling to Paint Branch.
