MoCoShow MCPS High School Football 2022 Regular Season Top 10; Statewide Playoff Brackets Now Available

At the conclusion of the playoffs we will post a final top 10.

1. Quince Orchard 9-0 (LW 1): The Cougars shutout Clarksburg 65-0.  QO finishes the regular season undefeated for the 5th time in school history. With that they earned the #1 seed in 4A West and the #2 seed overall in 4A.  Quince Orchard will rematch with Clarksburg in the 1st round of the playoffs at the CougarDome on Friday.

2. Damascus 8-1 (LW 2): The Swarmin’ Hornets grinded out a victory over Seneca Valley 33-20. The win gave Damascus the #1 seed in 3A West.  They will have a bye in the 1st round of the playoffs.     

3. Northwest 4-5*  (LW 5): The Jaguars beat Whitman 47-6.  The win earned NW the #4 seed in 4A West.  They will match up with BCC in the Black Hole Friday night in a very intriguing 1st round playoff matchup.   

4. Seneca Valley 6-3  (LW 3): The Screamin’ Eagles lost a tough game to Damascus 33-20.  The loss dropped Seneca to the #3 seed in 4A-3A West. They will host Thomas Johnson of Frederick county in the 1st round of the playoffs on Friday night.    

5. Walter Jonson 7-2 (LW 4): The Wildcats beat Wootton 37-3. The win secured the #2 seed in 4A West for WJ.  They will host Gaithersburg in another intriguing 1st round matchup, Friday night in Bethesda. 

6. Sherwood 7-2 (LW 6): The Warriors shutout rival Magruder 38-0.  With the win Sherwood earned the #1 seed in 4A-3A South.  They will host Northwood in the 1st round of the playoffs.   

7. Blair  8-1 (LW 7): The Blazers outlasted BCC 49-35.  The win locked up the #1 seed in 4A North for Blair.  They will receive a bye in the 1st round of the playoffs.    

8. Paint Branch 6-3 (LW 8): The Panthers beat Watkins Mill 35-8.  The victory secured the #2 seed for Paint Branch in 4A North.  They will host Wheaton Friday night in Burtonsville.       

9. Blake 6-3 (LW 9): The Bengals defeated Springbrook 15-6. The win earned Blake the #2 seed in 4A-3A South. They will host Whitman in the 1st round of the playoffs.

10.  Churchill 7-2 (LW 10): The Bulldogs outlasted Gaithersburg 33-32.  The win gave Churchill the #3 seed in 4A West.  They will rematch with Richard Montgomery in Potomac Friday night.
