Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich to Present His $6.2 Billion FY23 Recommended Operating Budget on Tuesday

$6.3 Billion Budget Includes Record Levels of Investment in Education, Affordable Housing and Climate Change

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will present his recommended operating budget for Fiscal Year 2023 and will highlight the strength of the County’s economy, as well as the record levels of investment in education, affordable housing and climate change.

The County Charter requires the County Executive to present a recommended operating budget to the County Council by March 15 of each year. The Council then reviews the recommendations and adopts the budget by late May. The new budget will go into effect on July 1.
