Montgomery County Officer Struck By Car on US-29
Around 10:30PM Wednesday night, Montgomery County Police units were attempting to stop a stolen Honda Civic on Columbia Pike (US-29) near Fairland Road.
One suspect fled on foot from the stolen car, and one Officer was hit by a car while running after the suspect who fled. The Officer’s leg was briefly pinned between two vehicles after the crash, and the Officer suffered a open leg fracture.
Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians from the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department transported the Officer to Baltimore’s R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for further evaluation and treatment.
The stolen Honda Civic was recovered and multiple suspects were arrested.
