Montgomery County Website Now Features County Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Status Information

Per Montgomery County:

For Immediate Release: Monday, September 20, 2021

More than 80 percent of Montgomery County employees have reported their COVID-19 vaccination status and the information is now available on the County’s COVID-19 Information Portal. In accordance with Montgomery County Board of Health Regulation 19-975, County employees are required to be fully vaccinated or be tested weekly and provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test. The requirement includes full-time and part-time employees, but does not include temporary or seasonal staff. The new dashboard is updated daily.

“The efforts of the employees of Montgomery County during the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination effort have been nothing less than heroic,” said County Executive Marc Elrich. “I am glad that with more than 80 percent of our County employees reporting, more than 90 percent of those employees are fully vaccinated. We are going to continue to work with our department leaders and partners in labor to receive the information from the remaining 20 percent that have not reported. Over the upcoming week, we will also be setting up our employee COVID testing program for those unvaccinated or not reporting.”

As of today, 7,715 (81 percent) of the 9,530 employees have reported their vaccination status. Of those reporting, 7,195 (93 percent) have reported receiving at least one dose of vaccine and 520 (5 percent) have reported that they are not vaccinated. As of today, 19 percent (1,816) of employees have not reported their vaccination status.  Employees were asked to report their vaccination status by Saturday, Sept. 18.

If you are not yet vaccinated, find free COVID-19 vaccination clinics at www.GoVAXMoCo.com. If you feel sick or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, get tested.  Find free testing clinics at www.MoCoCOVIDtesting.org.
