Morgan County, WV Sheriff Requests Investigation Following Incident Involving Montgomery County Residents

Eugenio and Virgilio Borja, graduates of Watkins Mill High School and current residents of Bethesda, were camping in Morgan County, West Virginia earlier this month when they decided to shoot some pool at Troubadour Lounge in Berkeley Springs. As they were leaving the establishment, the brothers allege they were assaulted by a woman and jumped by a group of men, which led to them to calling the police from outside the lounge. A video of what happened next has been viewed and shared by thousands of people across various social media platforms, sparking a request for an investigation into the matter by Morgan County Sheriff, K.C. Bohrer on December 6th:
“Incident with MCSD Officers on 3 Dec 2022 at Troubadour Lounge From Sheriff Bohrer. I was made aware of this yesterday. I have requested an investigation into the matter by an independent agency to be totally transparent and through. I assure the public this will be thoroughly and impartially investigated. As in any investigation it takes time to gather all the facts. We ask for your patience with respect to all parties involved. -Sheriff K.C. Bohrer”
The brothers plan to sue the sheriff’s department. In addition to the injuries the brothers suffered during the alleged attack, Eugenio claims he suffered injuries from an officer throwing him to the ground while cuffed, further injuring his jaw, and another officer gripping Virgilio’s face and forcing his head on to the hood of the police vehicle, causing a bruise on Virgilio’s forehead. Below is the video from “The Civil Rights Lawyer” YouTube page that details the incident with the bleeping of curse words:
