Networks Weigh-In With Snow Forecasts for Thursday Storm
The storm is expected to start early Thursday morning and go into Friday morning. There are different layers to this that can bring on second and third waves, which would increase our snow totals, but there is also the chance we deal with a lot more mixing and it lowers our totals.
In the images below you’ll the snow forecasts from all four major networks in our area for Thursday’s storm.
For now, this is what the networks are calling for.
ABC 7 has all of MoCo in the 3-6” range.
WUSA9 has most of MoCo in the 4-6” range.
Fox 5 also puts MoCo in the 3-6” range.
NBC4 has most of MoCo in the 2-6” range and areas like Clarksburg and Damascus in the 6-10” range.
The National Weather Service maps, seen below, have MoCo in the 4-6” range with a tenth to a quarter inch of ice also expected.
We will have an update for you in the morning to discuss the overnight runs.
