An agreement between MCPS and MCEA was signed earlier this week addressing several health, safety, and operation concerns that have occurred due to COVID. An earlier report by Bethesda Beat shared this information this evening.
Some of the items addressed by the agreement:
-Teachers and staff members will be notified at least 45 days before the return to in-building instruction.
– Reasonable accommodations will be made for staff members who are at greater risk for Coronavirus infection when it is time to return.
-Teachers are responsible for no more than 300 minutes of live instruction per day.
-Educators will be allotted 11 hours of planning time per week.
-MCPS is returning to typical grading and reporting.
The memorandum also addresses special education, ESOL services, extracurricular activities, recording live instruction, and more.
The full agreement can be seen here.

So if notice is given soon, schools can open in some physical form by second quarter (November)?
