Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, April 1, at approximately 7:36 p.m., on Norbeck Road near Norwood Road. According to MCPD, “The preliminary investigation has revealed that a vehicle was traveling westbound on Norbeck Road when it crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle traveling eastbound.
The driver of the striking vehicle sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The adult occupant of the other vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The Montgomery County Department of Police, Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating this collision. A news release will be distributed once more information is available, including the name of the deceased following proper notification of next of kin.
